EpiCor is a product derived from fermented baker's yeast culture. It was discovered after insurance data on employees of an animal food factory showed reduced illness. The producers espouse it to have antioxidant properties due to a combination of trace elements found including phytosterols and phenolics such as catechins, trans resveratrol, and squalene, along with basic vitamins, minerals, and unsaturated fatty acids.
